Howdy! I’m Gina, a multidisciplinary creative and environmental graphic design specialist with a background in worldbuilding for film, television, and brands.
As a designer for film and television productions, I am responsible for creating anything and everything that could possibly require a graphic designer's skill set. This massive list includes brand identities for fictional on-screen brands, graphic props, environmental graphics (such as signage, special structures, murals, etchings, decals, and more), surface pattern designs like textiles and wallpapers patterns. If a film director dreams it up – I create it.
I invented #agraphicdesignermadethat to celebrate and bring visibility to the work that graphic designers do in the entertainment industry, and am the creator of a first-of-it’s-kind online course intended to mentor young designers as they venture towards a career in graphic design for film.
Through my experience designing environmental graphics and spaces for film and television, I have also come to specialize in art direction, fabrication, and installation for interior and exterior spaces in the real world.
Between shows, I freelance in brand strategy and identity design, tapping into my experience as a storyteller to help brands, entrepreneurs, and filmmakers alike craft compelling visual narratives. My brand identity work exists to celebrate the intersection of art and entrepreneurship, grounded firmly in the belief that designers and entrepreneurs alike have the responsibility to put good into the world through business. To that end, I absolutely love working with rad people who are pursuing awesome things and helping them succeed.
Whether drilling down with entrepreneurs to find out what moves them or building worlds around core themes in a film script, I’m always seeking to answer the “why” behind each project objective and rising to meet design parameters with functionally beautiful solutions.
